Police Violence at the Political Convetions

I am disgusted by the amount of violence that the police are committing against protesters, journalists, and bystanders in Denver and St. Paul. This kind of violence is inexcusable!

We, as citizens of the United States have certain rights guaranteed in the Constitution. They are there for a reason and specifically the First and Fourth Amendments need repeating:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.


The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The mainstream media has hardly touched this, focusing on Sarah Palin's parenting abilities. People need to know about this! This is violence going on here, in the United States, by the very people who are supposed to protect us.
